So far so good Rating:4 out of 5 stars This is my fisrt Canon printer and I like it alot so far.. The price was excellent. The ink is durable. The only cons is kinda noisy and it takes a little longer than I thought to print. Other than that I recommended it.
Good prinyer for doing print, scan and fax together Rating:5 out of 5 stars Setup was confusing. Difficult to get to fax. Noisy. Very Reasonable though and Prints well. Not sorry I bought this one.
Awsome Printer Rating:5 out of 5 stars I love the printer, it does a great job on faxing, very easy to set up. The print quality is great. I would recommend this printer to everybody.
Great for what I need Rating:4 out of 5 stars Very easy to set up, I installed it in 3 computers in about 15 minutes. Prints quickly, and efficiently. Cartridges are kind of expensive, and this printer uses it fairly quickly. But I just need it for random printing of documents and not really photos although it is very capable of it. Scans very efficiently, and very quickly, and copies quickly as well. I am pleased with it, and would recommend it. It biggest negative I can think of is how loud it is when it prints. Definitely don’t print if someone is sleeping in the next room!
Cannon MX330 printer Rating:1 out of 5 stars This printer was look great and easy to set up, etc. However, the ink usage was sadly inefficient. One brand new XL size ink did not last me more than 3 weeks. I was getting a lot of fax but my other old fax’s ink went at least 3 to 5 months. I was so disappointed with this printer so I got rid of this eventhough I only used for less than 2 months. This printer also has memory but this is so small that it was not that useful.
Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer Rating:4 out of 5 stars First impression I had of this printer was that it was very bulky. It is a bit slow to start up. If at some time you turn the printer on and decide to turn it off at the same time, it goes through this long process where it takes 30-45 seconds to turn off. I have no idea why it does this. The print quality appears to be good, but it is very loud when printing. You can hear everything that’s occuring mechanically in this printer. However, we’ve printed a lot of pages pertaining to school and other things and the ink consumption seems to be very low and that’s the only grounds I would recommend it on.
powerful workhorse Rating:5 out of 5 stars I bought this Canon PIXMA MX330 after our old Canon printer died after 10 years of use. Immediately after receiving this printer I had to print 5K fliers in one week. It worked well and fast! No problems with streaking. No problems with paper sticking together and jamming the input slot. I would not buy any other printer for our main computer. It is a little bulky and noisy, but for the price and for the power, our other temporary cheap/free printers (bought as a package deal with the cpus) can’t come close.
So far fantastic Rating:4 out of 5 stars I haven’t had the opportunity to use the printer extensively but so far it has been great. It was easy to set up & the manual is easy to understand. It is a little noisy, but I don’t think I’m going to be sleeping while I’m printing. Since I haven’t used it much I can’t comment on ink usage.
Exactly what I needed. Rating:4 out of 5 stars I wanted an “all in one” printer and even though I don’t really need a scanner/copier, it comes in handy. I am very pleased with the quality of the printer and especially with how easy it was to set up and use. The price was very reasonable too. Gotta love Amazon!
Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer Canon PIXMA MX330 Inkjet All-In-One Printer Rating:5 out of 5 stars I love this printer, I threw my Epson away when I got this canon. Good quality printing, Fast, Multifunctional, you can choose a setting where you can select which inc you want to use, unlike horrible Epson ( I will never buy Epson again, It wouldn’t print at all, because the Color inc was low, when brand new Black inc was in there it would not print black text ). I love Canon very much, inc lasts a long time, and never gave any problems printing.
It works pretty fair. Rating:4 out of 5 stars Bought this back in Sept or Oct and it has been a pretty good printer for what I use it for. I don’t print everyday so the ink tanks that came with it are about a 1/3 rd full. Some say it makes whirling sounds when getting ready to print and it is a little noisy, does take a minute or so to warm up to scan, makes some racket when printing and it does have a fairly large footprint, but for the 70.00 or 80.00 I paid for it, it has worked out pretty good. I’m getting used to using the different help services that are avail when you download the software to your PC and it’s ok. I’m going to use the XL option for ink from now on as one can’t really beat the price of the XL type tanks considering how much more come in the tanks. All in all, I like the printer. The fax option helped to collect over 500.00 dollars that was owed to me by using it to send off important documents to certain companies so that in itself has made it VERY handy. I don’t know how long this printer will last, but so far..we’re good to go.
flawless install and easy to use Rating:5 out of 5 stars I bought the HP Officejet 6500 and then the Canon Pixma MX330 based on high ratings in Consumer Reports. Even after cleaning the dirty HP install CD, after getting missing file errors, it failed to install on Windows 2000 (which it does support) with different errors on each attempt.
Fortunately, I bought it at Walmart and returned it for a refund. I bought the Canon Pixma MX330 MultiFunction Printer much cheaper after Christmas at Best Buy (in case I needed to return it, too). It installed quickly and flawlessly and works easily and flawlessly. I’m not a big Canon fan, partly because my older Pixma MP500 goes through black ink so fast (at least the printer claims the ink cartridge is empty or faulty and refuses to print), but apparently it is much better than HP. I’ll buy only Canon from now on. No USB 2.0 cable is included but I don’t think a cable is included in many printers these days.
Low price, easy to use, great functionality. Rating:5 out of 5 stars I highly recommend this unit for any home or small office.
Pros:
* Inexpensive
* Great photos
* Great document feeder
* Easy install
* Reliable inkcartridges
* No crashes
Cons:
* Huge batches become slow.
* Photos print slightly red.
* Greyscale scans may be fuzzy
* No OCR built-in

I was closing on a house and ended up with 600 pages of supporting docs for the title policy. I wanted to keep this information, but that’s just too much paper to keep track of.
I went to Wal-Mart and after reading through the boxes of scanners with an ADF (automatic document feeder), I picked the Canon MX320. It was nearly the best price at $69 (amazingly inexpensive).
In the past, I’ve found Canon products to be of higher function and compatibility than HP, and higher durability than Epson products. I found these qualities to hold true, even on this low-priced product.
Once home, I had the unit unpacked and powered up in 10 minutes. The drivers have an easy install. I chose this on one system and on another, I manually installed drivers from subdirectories on the CD. Both methods proved to be simple and take very little time.
Once installed, I found the bundled software to be intuitive and easy to use. Without any special configuration, I was able to feed through piles of poor quality photocopies and have legible scans on disk.
Bleed-through minimization option works very well. Some types of scans want for better unsharp-mask, and end upwith crisp areas mixed with non-crisp areas, but this can be tweaked.
Scan Text/OCR does NOT actually have OCR functionality. This scans in black and white. The function labelled “B&W” is a greyscale scan.
From there, you can save as PDF, BMP, JPG and TIF. You can choose specific pages or all pages. Zoom, etc. You can save multiple groupings, and when ready, you can clear your scanned image queue.
I found that extra-thick paper would have difficulty feeding, so I wouldn expect card-stock to need to be placed on the platen (glass) directly. Clearing misfeeds is VERY simple. Lift the plastic flap on the left and pull the sheet out. Close the flap and click OK. It’s read to continue.
If you forget and leave a sheet on the platen, the ADF still works because it uses a small bit of side-glass. This is great for forgetful people like me.
FAX configuration took abou 5 minutes to configure the ID string, dialling preferences, etc. I did have to look in the quickstart guide to determine what some wording meant, but overall, it was a painless set-up. You can have it auto-answer, or silently listen for faxes when you make a voice call.
Scanning was the same speed for FAX mode as for PC mode. I did not time it, but it was much faster than the FAX can transmit anyway. Scanning claims a 30 sheet ADF however, it easily handles a stack of about 50 sheets of plain copy paper.
I found that past about 50 sheets, the scanner would slow begin to pause about 8 times per sheet, dropping the scan rates from 6-10/second down to 4 sheets/second. This seemed to be more of a software issue than anything with the hardware.
Printing to plain paper was as simple as can be. The driver install was already taken care of and printing required no special set-up to obtain excellent quality output.
When I tried printing to glossy photo stock, I was not optimistic; however, the resolution was amazing. This is about 4 times better than Walgreens photo service. I could see individual hairs on my son’s head in the image.
When not in use, the various covers for scanner, paper in and paper out easily fold shut to help reduce dust infiltration.
I never used the hard-keys for scan or copy, but fax was pretty standard.
Printer in action Rating:4 out of 5 stars I like the Cannon printer. It is very efficient and easy to use, I am not sure about the ink usage yet, since I have only had it for a month. Amazon is always very good about getting the products you want at the time allotted and most of the items have been in great condition or new.
Great buy! Rating:4 out of 5 stars This is the second Canon printer I’ve purchased. The first was a Pixma MP500. The PIXMA MX330 has more features and only uses two ink cartidges (compared to five for the MP500). Immediately, there is a savings in the cost of replacement ink. The MX330 is truly a full featured, all-in-one printer. While others may make that claim, the MX330 copies, prints, scans, and faxes. Most other “all-in-one” printers do not fax. While “fax” technology may be starting toward the horizon, many businesses like to send and receive fax documents (legal firms, insurance agencies, etc.) so it is a nice feature to have. The only drawback is the noise. When it prepares to print it clunks and bangs and makes all other noises. Frankly, I don’t know what it’s doing. I just hope the neighbors don’t take up a petition to have me charged with some obscure violation of community noise laws. Other than that, it is an excellent addition to any home office.
Satisfactory purchase Rating:4 out of 5 stars I had a Dell all in one printer. The ink cartridges were too expensive. I bought a compatible one, but the Dell computer did not allow me to install it. I decided not to buy any more Dell product. I shopped, and I thought Canon was a good buy. Its replacement cartridges are reasonable. For the money and my infrequent use of it, I am well satisfied with the purchase.
canon mx330 Rating:5 out of 5 stars had to buy a printer because dell doesn’t make drivers for imacs. this canon was easy to setup and a lot more compact then the dell
Does anybody know if this is compatible with Windows Vista? Rating:5 out of 5 stars It seems impossible to find a description on Amazon printers that states “Vista Compatible”. Anybody have any suggestions?
Canon Mx330 Rating:5 out of 5 stars WOW, This is one nice printer.
I thought this may help if you are in the market for a multifunction printer.
First I would indicate that I was looking for a printer during the last six months, looking at reviews here at Amazon and industry tests.
SET-UP was easy period. I am not a computer expert by any means, but set up went very smooth, thus is the reason why I took the effort to write a review, ( my first ).
I only have windows XP.
I went with the MX330 for I only wanted the two ink cartridges. I wanted it simple. They also installed very easy. ( REALLY ).
The printing is very good by my standards. I would say perfect, but my only comparison is to my old EPSON.
Amazon, I thought was the best way to go for the price and free shipping.
The printer came and it was in perfect shape, and received in five business days.
I read in previous rewiews about packaging and it does come well protected.
The only issue I noted from Amazons reviews about needing a USB cable. Well, like others stated I used my old one.
I thought Canon did 5 star on everything. Well done by Canon.
PRINTER IS AWFUL AND NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE Rating:1 out of 5 stars I used this printer for about 2 weeks and then it broke down. The paper would not load and enter into the unit; it would just make a poor attempt by just grabbing and wrinkling the paper but the paper would not enter the unit. I called Canon to troubleshoot and they said that it was defective and they just sent me another unit, upon receiving the refurbished unit that was sent to me, it worked approximately 1-week before experience the exact same problem. I refuse to contact Canon again, its not worth the headache…..instead, I am throwing this piece of junk away and will never purchase a Canon again, regardless of what the reviews state, that’s how I got tricked into buying this one. Terrible and agonizing, absolutely ridiculous!
Should come with a straightjacket Rating:1 out of 5 stars I hate this printer! Besides being really freakin’ big, it’s beyond annoying. When you click ‘print’, it makes a bunch of whirring noises and thinks about the fact that it has to print something. Then it whirs some more, and decides that maybe printing what you want it to print might be an OK idea. Then it rests for a moment, sends out another little whir, and just when you think it’s actually going to print, instead you get a popup telling you that HEY YOU HAVE ME SET FOR BLACK ONLY! DO YOU REALLY WANT THAT? BECAUSE YOU’RE NOT GETTING ANY COLOR WITH THIS SETTING!! Um, yeah, I do that to save ink. So you click on ‘ok’, and it starts whirring again, probably wondering why in the world you only want black ink. It’s just so wrong for a color printer, after all. You can almost hear it sigh. But then it decides, ok, I’m going to print in black, draft mode no less, for this plebeian. FINALLY it prints. Pretty quickly I might add, probably to make up for all the time it wasted whirring and fretting. Afterwards, it whirs for awhile again, ruminating about what it just printed, and obviously distraught that it could not use the color cartridge.
I am going to return it this weekend, and I actually look forward to paying the restocking fee!
BROKEN OUT OF THE BOX, ERROR 6000 HELP Rating:1 out of 5 stars HELP, MY 330 IS BROKE FROM THE BOX, FOLLOWED INSTRUCTIONS, PLUGED IN POWER, PUSHED ON BUTTON, ERROR 6000 CAME ON, SAID TO UNPLUG AND REPLUG BACK IN, i DID, SAME ERROR 6000, NOT HAPPY, CAN SOMEONE HELP, BEFORE I SEND IT BACK
Love this printer Rating:5 out of 5 stars I’ve had this printer a few months now, & I love it. I don’t use a printer much and the other 4 I’ve owned had a terrible problem with ink drying out & clogging the print head. None of that here. it just does a great job of printing. I have not owned anything this good. I love it.
Does what it says very simply and cleanly Rating:5 out of 5 stars I’ve really enjoyed this printer so far. It’s has a simple display and the buttons are intuitive. I’ve never had any trouble with the drivers on my Mac. I love the autofeeder. It’s been a godsend at times. I haven’t used the fax machine, but who uses fax on a landline now anyways. Ink is an issue as this is an inkjet printer and not a laser. However, if you buy generic cartridges on ebay, you shouldn’t spend more than a few dollars a cartridge. I love this printer!
PIXMA MX330 Rating:5 out of 5 stars It is a good buy considering the price. Though, I only gave it a 4 star on ease of setup because there was no USB cable provided in the box to connect the printer to me computer. I had to use a cable from my external hard drive.
Would be helpful if the description of the product mentioned something like “usb cable to connect to computer not included”. Or it would even be more helpful if the cable was included.
Other than that, I think Canon PIXMA MX330 is a pretty good steal.
great printer! Rating:5 out of 5 stars I purchased this printer to replace the one that “saves you on ink”. This printer is GREAT! I have a small business, which is it’s primary use, and the quality is great! It was easy to get “up and running”, the only problem is that it is pretty noisy. I am printing color graphics from this printer and the it doesn’t seem to use any more color ink than the “other” printer that I replaced. I thought by the other reviews that I might have a problem with ink usage, especially with what I print, but I haven’t. I was even impressed by the small little “perks” with this printer, like the fact that when the “lid” is lifted it doesn’t just “drop” down, it “lowers” back to it’s down position slowly. This is a great printer for a the price!
Canon Pixa MX330 Inkjet All-In-On Printer really rocks! Rating:5 out of 5 stars First of all let me compliment Amazon for their efficiency in getting the printer delivered so quickly. I was a little reluctant to purchase a printer via the internet. But I was really surprise with the ease of setup, and the quality of this printer. It is perfect for a home office or for everyday printing. Since I received the printer everyone has been asking me to print something for them and I was really impressed when one of my friends asked me to print some invitations for her dad’s 90th birthday. Let me tell you… the quality of the printing on the invitations looked like if they were done by one of those expensive printers. The invitations said “for best quality use a laser” I have to disagree with them because this inkjet rocks. And it printed 200 invitations within minutes. I would definitely recommend this all-in-one printer.
User friendly AND Great Photo Quality! Rating:5 out of 5 stars We bought this because our HP Photosmart printer died (after 5 years). I just recently opened a home day care, so I needed somethingthat would make copies. Also, my main hobby is scrapbooking, so I needed something that would print good pictures. I felt like I was going to have to choose between a functional office printer and a photo printer, so I chose funtional office printer, and I just got lucky! Not only is this very user-friendly, (it makes great color and black-and-white copies at the push of a button), but it also prints excellent pictures. This does it all for under $100! Nothing more I could ask for in the product. I highly recomend it.
First I thought, how great, a readable manual. That means the average person could read it, but do not include right-brainers like me. Yes, I did work my way through getting the printer out of the box and plugged into the wall, but later on, I needed some help in finishing up the print connection process. Called their Customer Service at 6 P.M. A recording asked for my phone number and 9 minutes later they called me back. The rep was knowledgeable, polite, and insisted on hanging with me until I got a page printed and was happy with it. Told me not to hesitate to call them back. I asked when they closed up. The answer was “…10 PM tonight.” Life can be beautiful. Since then, I’ve not had the time to run the printer through all its paces, but I will and without that knot in my stomach that occurs when I have to call, shall we say, Hewlett Packard. So far, I like the printer. Good price too.
Best home office all-in-one printer/fax/scanner Rating:5 out of 5 stars Amazing quality for such a bargain price! If you need a home office all 3-in-one printer/fax/scanner for a very affordable price, Canon has a wide range of choices.
I vote for this one as a perfect home office must have.
Just bought one based on the reviews provided here. Have not used it yet.It is extremely ridiculous that the USB cable is not included in the package (Nowhere can I see the indication that the USB cable is not inculded in the printer.), while the telephone line is included in the package.Is this a fax machine or a printer? The USB cable usually comes with the printer when I use other brand printers, such as Lexmark. I Will never buy canon printer in the future!!!!!

Satisfactory purchase

I had a Dell all in one printer. The ink cartridges were too expensive. I bought a compatible one, but the Dell computer did not allow me to install it. I decided not to buy any more Dell product. I shopped, and I thought Canon was a good buy. Its replacement cartridges are reasonable. For the money and my infrequent use of it, I am well satisfied with the purchase.

had to buy a printer because dell doesn’t make drivers for imacs. this canon was easy to setup and a lot more compact then the dell
Does anybody know if this is compatible with Windows Vista?

It seems impossible to find a description on Amazon printers that states “Vista Compatible”. Anybody have any suggestions?
Canon Mx330

WOW, This is one nice printer.
The color and black cartridge are included too.
PRINTER IS AWFUL AND NOT WORTH THE HEADACHE
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
I used this printer for about 2 weeks and then it broke down.
Should come with a straightjacket

I hate this printer!

Love this printer
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I’ve had this printer a few months now, & I love it. I don’t use a printer much and the other 4 I’ve owned had a terrible problem with ink drying out & clogging the print head. None of that here. it just does a great job of printing. I have not owned anything this good. I love it.
Does what it says very simply and cleanly

I’ve really enjoyed this printer so far.
PIXMA MX330
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
It is a good buy considering the price.
Multi-functional
Rating:4 out of 5 stars
Item was received on time and in good condition.
It is a little larger in size than expected, but it is modern, easy to use and has many different functions.
Good quality. Replacing ink will not be the cheapest, but also not the most expensive.
(Just a note that this works in the americas with 120 v only, if you plan to travel with this item you will beed to get a transformer and a converter)
great printer!
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this printer to replace the one that “saves you on ink”.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
First of all let me compliment Amazon for their efficiency in getting the printer delivered so quickly.
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
We bought this because our HP Photosmart printer died (after 5 years).
Hallelujah.

Best home office all-in-one printer/fax/scanner
Rating:5 out of 5 stars
Amazing quality for such a bargain price! If you need a home office all 3-in-one printer/fax/scanner for a very affordable price, Canon has a wide range of choices.
I vote for this one as a perfect home office must have.
junk printer
Rating:1 out of 5 stars
Just bought one based on the reviews provided here. Have not used it yet.It is extremely ridiculous that the USB cable is not included in the package (Nowhere can I see the indication that the USB cable is not inculded in the printer.), while the telephone line is included in the package.Is this a fax machine or a printer? The USB cable usually comes with the printer when I use other brand printers, such as Lexmark. I Will never buy canon printer in the future!!!!!
